The Nicolaashoeve is located in world heritage and polder De Beemster. The Nicolaashoeve is a running farm, this means that we are not only living at the farm, but we also work at it.
The Nicolaashoeve is a mixed farm. We work at our farm with passion and respect for nature. So in the grazing season, our blije koeien (happy cows) graze the fresh grass outdoor, which results in the most tasteful milk (and Beemster Cheese). We also take care of the meadow birds. In spring it is fantastic to see and hear them chirping in the meadow. From mid April until the beginning of May we have our blooming tulip fields (our tulpen), which are fantastic to see. You are invited to take pictures of the fields. Of course we have sheep with in spring the lovely lambs! And in the spring season, we plant our potatoes, which results in the most tasteful potatoes, our Beemster Eerstelingen. In case you would like to pay a visit to our farm, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We can give you a guided tour around the farm in combination with a cup of coffee/tea and typical Dutch “stroopwafels”. Our farm is located close to Amsterdam, Alkmaar (cheesecity), Edam/Volendam, Hoorn, Enkhuizen and the Northsea coast.
